1The Four Minarets are tilted outwards
The minarets were built tilting outwards to protect the Taj from calamities like earthquakes. If you observe carefully, you’ll find that the four minarets are tilting outwards. Thi s was done so that in the event of a natural disaster, like earthquake, the minars won’t fall on the main ‘ gumbad ‘ or Dome, thereby ensuring the safety of the Tomb.
2Conspiracy about the name Taj Mahal
The term Tajmahal itself never occurs in any mogul court paper or chronicle even in Aurangzeb’s time. The attempt to explain it away as Taj-e-mahal is therefore, ridiculous. The ending “Mahal” is never muslim because in none of the muslim countries around the world from Afghanistan to Algeria is there a building known as “Mahal”. The unusual explanation of the term Tajmahal derives from Mumtaz Mahal, who is buried in it, is illogical in at least two respects viz., firstly her name was never Mumtaj Mahal but Mumtaz-ul-Zamani and secondly one cannot omit the first three letters “Mum” from a woman’s name to derive the remainder as the name of the building. Since the lady’s name was Mumtaz (ending with ‘Z’) the name of the building derived from her should have been Taz Mahal, if at all, and not Taj (spelled with a ‘J’).
Several European visitors of Shahjahan’s time allude to the building as Taj-e-Mahal is almost the correct tradition, age old Sanskrit name Tej-o-Mahalaya, signifying a Shiva temple. Contrarily Shahjahan and Aurangzeb scrupulously avoid using the Sanskrit term and call it just a holy grave.
The tomb should be understood to signify NOT A BUILDING but only the grave or centotaph inside it. This would help people to realize that all dead muslim courtiers and royalty including Humayun, Akbar, Mumtaz, Etmad-ud-Daula and Safdarjang have been buried in capture Hindu mansions and temples.
Moreover, if the Taj is believed to be a burial place, how can the term Mahal, i.e., mansion apply to it? Since the term Taj Mahal does not occur in mogul courts it is absurd to search for any mogul explanation for it. Both its components namely, ‘Taj’ and’ Mahal’ are of Sanskrit origin.
3Hidden Rooms, Closed Doors & windows
Taj Mahal has 5 levels. On two of its visible levels/floors, there are two Kabars of Mumtaz. When did you see a kabar built on 1st floor, so above from the ground ? The intent was clear – t0 snatch the structure away from Rajputs – build kabars on every floor and declare it as a property of Mughal empire.
Entrance to lower basement floor that is now bricked up (on the left). The timber door before it was sealed up with bricks. In 1974 American Professor Marvin Mills took a sample from this door for Carbon dating and concluded that the Taj Mahal pre-dates Shahjahan. After this revelation, the Government of India removed the timber doors and the openings were bricked up, as shown in the photo on the left.
4The Interior Water Well aka Treasure Well
A royal staircase descends right down to the water level indicated by the tiny white patch showing the sun’s reflection. This was the traditional treasury well of the Hindu temple palace. Treasure chests used to be stacked in the lower stories. Accountants, cashiers and treasurers sat in the upper stories. Cheques called handies used to be issued from here. The circular stairs made it difficult for intruders to reach down to the treasury or to escape with it undetected or unpursued. In case the premises had to be surrendered to a besieging enemy the treasure could be pushed into the well to remain hidden from the conquerer and remain safe for salvaging if the place was reconquered. For real research, water should be pumped out of this well to reveal the evidence that lies at the bottom.
This well is inside a tower near the so-called mosque to the west of the marble Taj.Such an elaborate multistoried well is superflous for a mere mausoleum. Such a grand, gigantic well is unneccesary for a tomb.
5Taj Mahal was a Shiv Temple?
The Taj Mahal was built with a blend of Indian, Persian and Islamic styles of architecture, and is considered the magnum opus of Mughal era’s architectural exploits. However, in an Indian writer, P. N. Oak, went on to claim that the Taj Mahal was actually a Shiv Temple and a Rajput palace, Tejo Mahalaya, built by a Hindu king Parmar Dev, and had been seized by Shah Jahan. His petition in 2000 to declare the same, and excavate the site for proof, was dismissed by the High Court.
Many religious conflicts surround this popular historical monument. Many people believe that it was originally a temple of Lord Shiva. The rooms that are sealed have the statues of Lord Shiva inside them. Government also doesn’t want any further conflicts to arise therefore the rooms are sealed. Investigating further into this matter might give birth to Hindu-Muslim conflicts.
Five years after Oak’s failed endeavor, Mishra approached the Allahabad High Court to raise a similar point in the name of the long deceased monarch. Mishra’s movement was similarly unsuccessful. However, in 2015, the district court of Agra allowed a new lawsuit claiming this, so it seems as though this theory isn’t going away anytime soon.
There can’t be any historical monument in India without mysteries. There must be some hidden treasures, secret rooms and passages, unknown stories etc. TajMahal is no exception. People claim that it was built even before the Mughals invaded India. No matter what…the monument is known as the epitome of Love all over the world.
